Jenna's Background

Jenna first started out as a dancer at the age of 4. Her dancing led her to many places around the world. Unfortunately, Jenna's dream of being a dancer came to an end due to health reasons. Needing a creative element, she threw herself into the hair and makeup industry and hasn't looked back since.

Choosing Jenna

When I first moved to Newcastle, Jenna became my dance teacher. So of course, when I got engaged she offered her services as a makeup artist. At this point in time, she wasn't offering hair but as time went by, this became part of her service.

I knew that Jenna was reliable, someone I could trust and that she would offer the best service possible.

As soon as we began discussing the finer details for the wedding, I knew that I had made the correct decision.

Working with Jenna prior to the day

It was such a smooth process. Jenna discussed with me the type of look I was going for for myself, my bridesmaids and my mum. She asked what style the different dresses were to ensure the hairstyles would suit. I also discussed my colour scheme with her to ensure that the colours didn't clash.

One thing I was sure of in terms of makeup was that I didn't want anything too over the top. I'm not one to wear makeup in every day life, so being crazy dolled up for my wedding was something that I couldn't fathom.So I went with something natural that would compliment my pink and colour scheme.

For hair, I knew that I wanted an up-style due to the detail of my dress on the back. Jenna sent me through a few suggestions and I narrowed it down from there.

She offered me a trial, which I had on the day of my Bridal Shower. I got a feel for what both my hair and makeup would like so we could tweak anything if needed. It was perfect and I really felt like it was the look I wanted. 

Jenna asked if I was sure that there wasn't anything I wanted to change. When I said no she told me that I must be the world's easiest to please bride. The whole process made me feel relaxed heading into my wedding day. I was in good hands.

On the Big Day

The Big Day arrived. It was a nearly wake up call but necessary for us all to look our best. We'd all had a restless sleep and were worried about looking tired in photos. 

Jenna was punctual with her timing and setup. At no extra cost to us, she also invited a friend along to assist so the day ran smoothly and stress free. Together, they worked in a timely matter. Each Bridesmaids hair and makeup was identical; my mum was thrilled with her natural look and mine made me feel like a princess.

Many of our guests commented on how good we all looked and how well the makeup went with the colour of the dresses. We all look so good in the photos too, with no nasty flashback (white under the eyes) in the photos. 

Jenna is a perfect choice for makeup and hair. I don't think I would  have trusted anybody else with such an important task.
